  I visited Hobsons Choice, Kettering, this evening at 18.00 with a £5 off voucher when you spend £15 on food, with my Mother, 3 grand children and my daughter-in- law. I was not informed the voucher could not be used with The Big Plate Special (advertised as a Tuesday deal) when I ordered, even tho my daughter-in-law said £6, and informed the server I had a voucher. My mexican salad had a 5oz piece of grissel with it ( I ordered rump steak), my daughter-in-law was informed there were no fries left so my grand daughter had chips, yet when the Big Plate Special arrived (that wasn't £6, as advertised and was, in fact, £9.50), it had fries with it...of course, my grand daughter believed her mum was lying and was very upset (she is 6 years old). Other meals that were being served after our order also had fries on...my little girl was extremely annoyed. So, be careful customers, these £5 vouchers are not worth redeeming, especially if you are on a budget...I am not happy. Give Hobsons a miss...the service is slow....but the staff are pleasant.

  Went here for dinner before attending our cinema session. We ordered three burgers, it took over an hour which made us miss the first part of our film. We asked two different waiters and they both said five minutes- which was a blatant lie. The burgers were horrendous, two didn't even have bacon (and they were bacon special burgers). I will never return to this place of Satan's grasp. Do not waste your time or money here, especially if you intend of eating your dinner before attending the cinema in 2024. Hell on Earth, well, in Kettering specifically. I wish I could give zero stars.

  We went here for dinner last night, the staff were rude and unfriendly. The food was certainly not hot! and tasted like it had been left sitting for quite sometime. We had plenty of meat left on our plates, which we asked to be put in a 'doggy bag' for our dogs, the waitress clearing the table was unhappy about this and huffed! We ordered dessert and the plate it was served on was delivered by the pub manager who should have known better! As the plate was disgustingly filthy, and had dried finger marks all the way round. I returned my desert for a refund and received a reluctant apology from again the Manager. This pub has certainly gone down hill since no longer being a square and fayre pub, I would advice all reading this to think twice befpre eating here, as it really is a shambles. We had a lovely evening at the Odeon and wanted some hot food, with friendly service. Obviously that was to much to ask from Hobsons Choice- We won't be returning and will be making sure other people are aware.

  Here with partner and son.. just had beef wrapped in Yorkshire pudding, it was mmmmmmmm, food was served fast and was hot. Nice surroundings and friendly staff. I will definitely come again x
